Lake Wenatchee Real Estate
LAKE WENATCHEE
Lake Wenatchee is a gorgeous glacier fed lake that draws countless outdoor enthusiasts and is surrounded by some of the most desirable and valuable real estate in the Leavenworth area. The lake covers over 2,400 acres and reaches a depth of 244 feet. It is the source of the Wenatchee River with its tributaries the White River and the Little Wenatchee River. Fresh water activities include fishing, wind surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking and water skiing. In the winter, the area becomes a wonderland for cross county skiing, snowmobiling and ice climbing. The state park is over 400 acres and is split into two parts – the north shore park and the south shore park, separated by the Wenatchee River. Properties on the North Shore and South Shore (known as Cedar Brae Road) are coveted and in short supply. Property owners on North Shore Drive enjoy south facing views and gentle topography down to the shore. Conversely, most of Cedar Brae properties are perched on steeper terrain and their northern exposure, while darker in the winter, provides a respite from the heat on long summer days.
